How to Begin Complying with the Child
Protection Policy

Fill out the Volunteer
Application form and bring it in to the school office for a signature from
Ms. Kilty and to have copies made.

Register for "Protecting God's Children" class at www.virtus.org or www.adw.org. Make sure you select a
session date. Please record your User ID and Password.

Contact the school
office to make sure the receipt of your application has
been recorded on your Virtus account. The fingerprinting office will
not make an appointment for fingerprinting unless they can see that
your Virtus account shows the receipt by your parish/school of your
Volunteer Application.

Call the Archdiocese
Office of Employee & Volunteer Services to set up an
appointment for fingerprinting.
Bring the following documents to the fingerprinting appointment:

Completed Volunteer Application Form & Criminal Background
Authorization Form (must be signed by the Pastor, Principal or Agency Director)

Check or money order, payable to Archdiocese of Washington; cash is not
accepted (Volunteer $33.25, Employee $37.25)

Valid Photo ID

St. Andrew's will need a copy of the receipt you will receive after
you have been fingerprinted.
CHILD PROTECTION POLICY BOOKLET
Read the Child Protection Policy Booklet (pick one up in the school
office) and sign the last page in the back of the booklet. Bring the
signed original of this page to the school office and receive a copy
from the office.
REMEMBER
when you go to the Protecting God's Children
for Adults class:

To sign in.

To bring the original of the Training Certificate that you will
receive at the session to the school office so that we may make a copy
for your records.

volunteer hours for fingerprinting and 3 volunteer hours for taking the "Protecting God's
